Kelly received her BA from Middlebury College and her EdM from Harvard University.

Jessica Nuñez-Hernandez, Site Director
Horizons at Colorado Academy

Jessica’s journey with Horizons began in 2002 as a 3rd-grade student in HCCA’s summer program. Since then, she has grown through nearly every role, from volunteer and teacher to program director, and now serves as Site Director. Before joining the HCCA year-round team, Jessica taught at Knapp Elementary, her alma mater and a key Horizons Colorado partner school. She earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2021. She currently serves as Chair of the Horizons National Associate Board and a member, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Salazar Family Foundation.

Christi James, Executive Director
Horizons at Graland Country Day

Christi has over 30 years of experience as an educator in both Colorado public schools and at Graland Country Day School. She currently serves as Executive Director of Horizons Graland, where she is deeply committed to creating equitable academic and enrichment opportunities for students and families who might not otherwise have access. Christi played a key role in developing Graland’s Lower School Spanish curriculum and its school-wide service-learning program. Her leadership at Horizons Graland focuses on building a supportive, inclusive community where students grow academically and personally.
